Booking & Deposits A non-refundable retainer is required at the time of booking to secure your session date. This retainer goes toward your total session fee. Your date is not held until the retainer is received and a contract has been signed. Full payment is due prior to or on the day of your session.
Cancellations & Rescheduling Life happens, and we understand that. If you need to reschedule, please notify us at least 48–72 hours in advance and we will do our best to find a new date that works for both parties. Your retainer may be applied to a rescheduled session at our discretion. Cancellations made without adequate notice will forfeit the retainer. Darling & Dear reserves the right to reschedule any session due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, with no penalty to the client.
Weather Policy Outdoor sessions are subject to weather conditions. In the event of rain, extreme heat, or unsafe conditions, we will work together to reschedule at no additional cost. The final call on weather-related rescheduling is made by Darling & Dear.
Late Arrivals Please plan to arrive on time for your session. Time lost due to late arrivals cannot be made up and your session will still end at the scheduled time. If you anticipate being late, please reach out as soon as possible so we can do our best to accommodate.
Image Delivery Galleries are typically delivered within 2–3 weeks of your session date via a private online gallery link. Exact turnaround times may vary during peak seasons. Rush editing is available for an additional fee — please inquire at the time of booking.
Image Selection & Editing Darling & Dear curates and delivers a final selection of fully edited images. Unedited or raw files are not available for purchase or download under any circumstances. Requests for additional editing beyond our standard style are subject to availability and may incur an additional fee.
Copyright & Image Usage Darling & Dear retains the copyright to all images captured during your session. Clients are granted a personal print release for the images in their gallery, meaning you may print and share your images for personal use. Images may not be sold, altered, or used for commercial purposes without written permission. Darling & Dear reserves the right to use session images for portfolio, website, social media, and marketing purposes. If you prefer your images not be shared publicly, please let us know in writing prior to your session.
Model Release By booking a session with Darling & Dear, you grant permission for your images to be used for marketing and portfolio purposes unless a written opt-out is provided before the session date.
Print Products Darling & Dear is not responsible for the quality of prints made through third-party labs. For the best results, we recommend ordering prints through your online gallery, which uses a professional-grade lab.
Limitation of Liability In the unlikely event that images are lost, damaged, or corrupted due to equipment failure or unforeseen circumstances, Darling & Dear's liability is limited to a refund of the session fee. We are not responsible for losses beyond that amount.
Conduct & Safety Darling & Dear reserves the right to end any session early if the environment becomes unsafe or conduct becomes inappropriate, without a refund of fees paid.
Contracts We require all sessions to be accompanied by a signed contract from a legal adult. We can not move forward on any session until that document is signed. You will receive this document once you have paid your booking fee and can sign it digitally before your session.
